While I love the summer months and tanning my life away at the beach, I'm one of those people who absolutely obsesses over fall. The new cool weather, the leaves, the sweaters, you name it- I love it.</div><div style="text-align: left;"> While we were up there, we picked up a few homemade (or Pennings-made) items, that were perfect for fall baking. We made every sort of crumb and apple combination you could imagine, and yet somehow never tired of the same flavors. But yesterday, my mom and I discovered this lonely bag of Crumb Cake mix hiding in our cupboard. And since crumb cake isn't season-specific, I thought it would be perfect for this not so pleasant chilly weather we've been having. Everyday is a great day for crumbcake.. So that mouse hole you see in the corner is from my own lack of willpower. The year to come will always be "The Year of .." something. My mom has said that 2012 will be "The Year of Me," meaning <i>her</i>. And while we joke that every year is <b>always</b> "The Year of Her," I can't say that I blame the woman.
